This working draft reflects the current offer. ScribeWorks should have qualified counsel review it before public launch.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Purchase and Use (“Terms”) apply to The Welcome Sequence offered by ScribeWorks (“ScribeWorks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you purchase for a church, ministry, business, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. The service
The current offer includes:
- Six custom welcome emails;
- One bonus re-engagement email;
- Subject lines, full body copy, recommended timing, and purpose notes;
- A client intake and review of reasonable voice samples;
- Two rounds of revisions; and
- Delivery as a ready-to-paste Word document.
The service is copywriting only. It does not include email-platform setup, automation configuration, account management, list cleanup, legal review, or ongoing email strategy unless agreed separately in writing. If the scope or price shown at checkout has been updated, the checkout description and your order confirmation control for that purchase.
3. Price and payment
The current launch price is $297, paid in full at checkout. A planned standard price of $497 may take effect later. Prices may change before an order is submitted, but changes do not affect an order already accepted. You are responsible for any taxes or payment charges identified at checkout. Payment is processed through Jotform and its payment providers.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate intake answers and current contact information;
- Provide enough existing material for ScribeWorks to study your voice;
- Confirm that you have permission to share all supplied material;
- Identify factual, theological, regulatory, or brand requirements;
- Review drafts promptly and combine feedback for each revision round; and
- Make the final decision about sending, publishing, or using the copy.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of organization-specific facts, names, dates, claims, links, and offers included in the finished emails.
5. Timing and delivery
The first complete draft is generally delivered within five business days after ScribeWorks receives both a completed intake and sufficient voice samples. The timeline pauses while required information or feedback is outstanding. Capacity is limited; if the current production window is full, ScribeWorks will communicate the next available start date.
Delivery dates are good-faith estimates unless ScribeWorks expressly agrees in writing that a date is guaranteed. A “business day” excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and U.S. federal holidays.
6. Revisions
Two revision rounds are included. A revision round means one consolidated set of reasonable feedback on the delivered copy. Unless your order confirmation states otherwise, revision requests must be submitted within 30 calendar days after the first draft is delivered.
Revisions cover refinements within the original intake, audience, goals, and scope. A new strategy, a different audience, a changed offer, new emails, implementation work, or a substantial rewrite caused by information not supplied during intake may require a separate fee and timeline.
7. Refunds and cancellation
Because ScribeWorks reserves capacity and begins custom work for each order, sales are final and payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. The included revision process is the remedy for work that needs reasonable adjustment within the agreed scope.
If ScribeWorks cannot perform the service for reasons within its control, ScribeWorks may cancel the order and refund the amount paid for work not delivered. This section does not limit any non-waivable consumer right.
8. Ownership and permitted use
After full payment, you own the final email copy delivered for your order and may edit and use it for your own organization. You grant ScribeWorks a limited license to use the materials you provide solely to perform the service.
ScribeWorks retains ownership of its pre-existing tools, prompts, methods, frameworks, know-how, internal notes, and unused drafts. You may not resell, sublicense, publish as a template, or distribute the service process or internal materials as a competing product.
9. Confidentiality
ScribeWorks will use reasonable care with non-public materials you supply and will use them to perform and administer the service. This section is not a substitute for a separate nondisclosure agreement when your organization requires one. Do not submit passwords, subscriber lists, payment-card data, protected health information, or other sensitive information that is not necessary for the writing project.
10. No performance guarantee
ScribeWorks provides professional copywriting and strategy, but does not guarantee open rates, inbox placement, replies, attendance, donations, volunteer conversions, revenue, or any other specific outcome. Results depend on factors outside ScribeWorks' control, including list quality, sender reputation, deliverability settings, implementation, audience, timing, and the underlying offer.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. ScribeWorks is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss arising from the service or its use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScribeWorks' total liability arising from an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so this section applies only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
12. Acceptable use
You may not use the delivered copy to violate law, infringe another person's rights, impersonate another person, mislead recipients about a material fact, send unlawful spam, or promote fraud, abuse, or discrimination. You are responsible for using the copy in compliance with the rules that apply to your organization and email program.
13. Third-party services
Checkout, payment, email delivery, and other functions may be provided by third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. ScribeWorks is not responsible for a third party's availability, security, or independent conduct.
14. Disputes and applicable law
Before starting a formal dispute, you agree to contact ScribeWorks and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern informally. These Terms are governed by the law that applies where ScribeWorks is legally established, without overriding any consumer protection that cannot lawfully be waived. The specific governing state and venue should be confirmed before public use.
15. General terms
If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your order without written consent. These Terms, the checkout description, and any written order confirmation form the entire agreement for the service unless a separately signed agreement states otherwise.
16. Changes and contact
ScribeWorks may update these Terms for future orders. The version in effect when your order is submitted applies to that purchase unless both sides agree otherwise in writing.
